Mods you're never likely to see.

Ok, given the creativity and imagination of the guys here that make our game today so much more with mods than the devs managed, lets have a bit of fun and think up some funny mods that you're probably NOT likely to see in our beloved game.....

I'll do a few:

'Floating poo, used condoms and other sewage debris mod v0.9beta' - That's right, the English Channel has never been so real.

'Silent Munter GUI mod' - A new GUI adorned with ugly women. Viewer discretion advised.

'Back to nature mega mod' - Be a whale, or a dolphin, or a fish, or a shark and fight for your place on the foodchain, dodging torpedo's and submarines as you go (multiplayer compatible).

'Pass the depth charge sidegame' - Using the crew models, gather on the dock and pass the ash can around, don't be the one holding it when it detonates as there'll be trouble, and blood, and carnage, and it means you lost the game.

I could go on but, over to you guys and your twisted minds......

instead of a milch cow i want an ice-cream man-mod; would always be a welcome break half way across the pond or atlantic: can you imagine what the sound would be like on hydrophones - the dingly bells and U-Boats gathering...

True, Milch Cows could get an overhaul, or you could introduce a Cheez Ghoat....

A sound mod so that you can hear your crew breaking wind
:rotfl2:

A heads mini game - Press the buttons in the right order or get a nasty surprise!

A FLOATING FEAST!!
Now, seriously. What would my crew like more than a giant, floating, ever-warm plate full of roasted meat?
Hmmm... Maybe...
How about a "sporting house" next to that giant, floating, ever-warm feast?

"Jawohl, Herr Kaleun: Nexzt ztop: Wunderland!"

An end-of-game graphic that follows a mystery death - you see your boat getting eaten by a giant squid.

While making repairs near the sea floor, you find yourself in Bikini Bottoms with Sponge Bob and the rest of the gang.

War Realism mod.

Fully realised land and air campaigns - events occurring miles away from where you are, and too far inland for you to see;

The thrill comes not from taking part in the battles, but realising that someone has spent endless hours, months and even years creating detailed, fully working models land and air units which are now slogging it out across all the theatres of the war! Imagine the rivet by rivet detail of that Panzer as it charges across France, the high resolution texture of the button on the uniform of Field Marshal Montgomery as he sits in his headquarters in the desert - it's all there, and more! With not a single detail spared, this promises to bring unheard of realism to the experience of the war as a whole in sh3.

You have no idea what's going on, but you know its happening - the sense of taking part in a war of epic proportions has never been so real.
Despite the fact that you'll never see any evidence of this mod, you'll know its there and you'll know that you're experiencing a more genuine version of the war than anyone else!

...I don't think so

How about a McCdonalds 'Sail-thu' mod :D for when the crew get sick of pork chops and banana with deisel sauce.

How about when your sub gets sunk/destroyed the game cuts to your funeral and all your weeping ship mates. then suddenly you wake up in the shower to start all over again. Oh wait I think that was already used by some TV soap from America about some oil ranchers or such like. :har:

Many years ago a joke travelled through the tabletop wargaming world about "IT"! IT was supposed to be the ultimate World War 2 wargame. IT would have a counter for every man who fought in the war. IT would have a counter for each piece of equipment each soldier carried. Every soldier in IT would have a rifle, canteen, helmet, grenades, shoes, socks, underwear and dogtags. Each pilot would have all of his items. Each sailor would have all of his items. And each soldier, sailor, pilot and officer would have a chart showing his skill levels.

IT would have been awesome!

And IT would have been impossible.

But IT's still fun to talk about.

Well i'm a carnage freak.

How about a mod that enables shark attacks on men in the water.

Or you can actually see your 20mm rounds hitting crewman on other ships and can see them being torn to pieces.
