Could someone gicve me a hand?
I would like to use the "historic side emblems" mod along with the flag mod, but both alter the turm_7b_1.dat file. So, does anybody know where to look in the "historic side emblems" mod to find the values that allow you to put an emblem on the front of your sub, so I can transfer them over to the flag turm.dat file. It is probably the same values that the "TurmYourWay" nod editied, so if anybody knows those values, that would be a help.
Thanks, U-48KM |
Moin,
can you provide links to both mods? Regards, DD |
Moin,
had a quick look at the 'TurmYourWay' mod. It changes the sub-object carrying the emblem texture coords from a simple square to be copy of the turm´s hull. Check the 'Turm7c_1_coning7c_High' 3d model to see what I´m talking about. Regards, DD |
Thanks DD,
Yeah, I figured that out a few days ago, but I've been out of contact for the past few days. (their is no way I was going to pay $12.95 a day for internet at the hyatt I was staying at in Atlanta!) Still working on it, but I think I've pretty well figured out how to do it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but all I have to do is copy and paste the model information (that adds the flags and such) into the turm.dat that already contains the emblem information (or visa versa) Thanks! |
Moin U-48KM,
basically you just have to copy and paste the 3d model node, that´s right. But this approach only works as long as both conning models are the same. If you want to make the big emblems available for all turms, you´ll have to change the emblem´s 3d object´s shape (for each turm model) in any 3d programme. Regards, DD |
? Well, I'm not done with what I'm trying, but I think I kinda get what you are saying. Basically, instad of copying the turm_7b.dat nodes you have to edit the model all together? Ummm, Well, I guess I'll just have to learn something new!
That would be great thought, flag on turm AND front emblems! |
Moin U-48KM,
see the pics below. I hope they contain everything you need. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...emblem_001.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...emblem_002.jpg Regards, DD |
