Problem editing posts
 

I'm having problems editing posts - my latest two posts have the edit function on the bottom right but none of my other posts do. Not really a drama except on my mod page where I try and keep the first post up to date (but have fallen behind recently :oops:).

Any chance I can get the edit function back on that one post - the first one at http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=137713.

On yes - I also seem to have lost the ability to 'read first unread post'.

we are having trouble with spammers making posts and coming back weeks later and editing them and adding spam, we had to close the edit window to 5 days. Which post are you needing to edit, I will be happy to do it for you. Very sorry for the inconvienence, we're trying to clamp down on spam.

It's the first post on my WBs mod page - I try and keep it updated when I adjust or create my mods. I take it there's no way to extend it for a single post by a single user? If not, no problems as long as it helps keep the spammers away!

I'll copy the changes I'd like to make and post on this thread.

I tried to write you a pm about this issue, and now I see why.
Well, isn't this like shooting birds with canons? By this, you will most likely hit some of the spammers, but you also hit all the normal members (whatever normal means... :haha:).
Do you plan to get the edit function back later, or do we henceforth have to ask a moderator each time to edit old info posts?

I need to edit my mod posts (all of them), and I can't. Any chance of getting the edit feature turned on again?

Ahoy, editing has been reset, you should be able to edit old posts now. Hopefully, the #$%(^ spammers will leave us alone.
