I know SH5 is going to have voice overs but I thought this was best placed in General topics.

Actually I found the list to be rather focused on low budget asian titles.

Im playing through Dragon Age right now and I must say the voice acting is nothing short of stellar with the likes of Claudia Black and Kate Mulgrew (sp?). I have yet to run accross a flat delivery or disjointed exchange in that game that you wintessed in Oblivion for instance.

I can only hope that the SH5 realizes that it is good to have voice overs but if your going to do it do it right.

Never played that though I heard it was decent. Can you tell us which charecter?

Speaking of bad voiceovers: You have no idea how awful most English games sound in German :o The first of the C&C series (which are censored on top of it, like a lot of games over here), Caesar III and the 688(I) tutorial videos are really bad.
But my personal (non-)favorite is Dune 2. I switch to English whenever I can. The German almost makes you :wah: / :damn:

That was when I started to switch my games to English.

Haha, they were pretty funny, although it's a slight shame that all 50 came from the same half a dozen games. I'm sure there are loads more. Some of the moments in Far Cry would be near the top of my list, and from what I've seen on YouTube it seems that Arma2 has set a new all-time-low.

My favorite was the Germans in Panzer Elite. Their accent was so thick you could barely understand them.

I think this extends to pretty much every WW2 movie I've ever seen.
I once had a translation course where we had to translate film dialogs (from German into English). Our teacher said that she always found it kinda strange when she watched the German dubs of these movies and the Americans all spoke German :DL She never complained about the horribly stagey German accents though :doh: (And no, almost no one around here says "Schnell schnell!)
