Finally got some time again
 

Hello ppl, :woot:

After being hung up in RL for a lot longer then expected I finally got time to start the game again.

I see some nice changes with a 'Download section' (was still under construction when I left). The thread searching was a bit of a maze but had its... thing. :oops:

Anyway,

I'm downloading the things I can remember having before I left and looking them up (updated or not) through the DL sections.

_ TMO 1.7
_ TMO Hot-fix (logically)
_ RSRDC TMO 502 (If I'm correct)

(Installed in this order)

I remember having a Ships Mod-pack (adding vessels to the game with some very nice textures) but I can't seem to find it, I'm also looking for the right SCAF Mod to add to my collection as my eyes arn't.... what they're suppose to be so to speak and this would help a lot.

Could some one give me the name and link of those 2 (if still compatible) please.

When you have some other ideas for me to add to the install list which would add to the game thrill please post them...


PS_ Just remembered something,
Two Environment mod's were in 'competition' so to speak and I was wondering if they combined there efforts and started to:
1) Get the best graphics results ever
2) Finally got around the problem with the lightning.

yes they did, its called "Real Environments"

Ohh boy, can't wait!!!

I presume the RE is integrated in TMO 1.7 as I can't seem to find any link in the DL section nor in the workshop section on the matter or I haven't looked far enough yet.

ok heres the deal, RFB and TMO had built into them the ENV 5.0 and the PE 4 mods (i forget who had which but, whatever) anywho it was too much to go redo everything so the last i am aware of they both kept the older seperate environmental mods and dont use "Real Environments" in them.


as for updated TMO and RFB:

i have no idea if they are going to do anything different with the new versions of TMO and RFB but you will have to check that out yourself.

TMO is coming out with v1.8 and RFB is going to be releasing a new version as well but i dont know the time frame for it. the link AVG gave you is for a "beta" version of 1.8 that is out right now but its not the finished product yet so more improvements will be made im sure before ducimus releases the "official" v1.8.

The current TMO 1.8 Beta has an enviroment mod as part 4 of the download but cant remember which one it was. According to the TMO thread the full update will soon be released in one download so if you wanted to check which one TMO ueses you might want to check there.

Yups, I've bin around the TMO 1.7 > 1.8 thread and have read the 63 pages :yawn: and will keep it in my crosshair on it.

I'm using the above (17. with hotfix) and feel the water has a bit to much reflections and looks to much like a mirror.

Anyhow... I'm tuned in!!
