I see less spam, how about you? Of course, this article does not address forum spam, which is more and more delivered by real people now. |
Swoosh... I thought you were talking about me...:rotfl2:
Hmm... now to get rid of those a**holes calling from telemarketers.... |

This worked for me. |
Yay! DOWN WITH DA TELEMARKETERS!!!
(they seem to be shutting up alot more lately...:DL) |
Yeah, I see no SPAM. Just as well, I did not need any male enhancement pills anyway. :D:O:
|
Excellant...although is it just me or is the forum having hiccups lately? I've only just been able to get on since about one GMT. :hmmm:
Could just be me... :hmmm: |
No, the forum did have a hiccup :wah:
|
I still see a lot on my primary account thanks to my stupid isp using my full email address in the web address for my web space. Most of it now is foreign language, often Chinese or Cyrillic. Thankfully my hotmail account gets almost none now.
I will admit that it has dropped back a bit. Maybe they are realizing that spam does not work. |
I get almost zero spam now, except in the account I set up to use for filling forms online where I don't need to ID myself really to get what I need from the site. The spam account gets quite a bit still but most of it I sort of signed up for and simply ignore.

The Spamhaus Project
MS came out with IMF (intelligent message filtering) for exchange server and ISP's have implemented this. I'm not sure what they use on Linux, but anyway when you set it up it links to the Spamhaus project (there are others I believe) and give emails a rating to allow auto blocking. Its really cool, I have ours at work set at a level of 7 and it catches almost everything. If you crank it up high enough you start blocking the domains like AOL, Earthlink, ect...they really should get a real email address if there going to use it for business. :shifty: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Spamhaus_Project |
