Old SH3 DVD copy question
 

Due to Starforce concerns, I just went ahead and bought SH3 off of Steam, instead of using my old DVD version of the game whe it first came out.

I have not been able to get the GWX 3.0 to install on the steam version, and see that people have been able to get their old DVD version to play on Vista. My question is what do I have to do to make sure Starforce doesn't ruin my DVD drive. Do I install the game, patch to V1.4b, and then update the Starforce drivers?

I've been playing SH3 one way or another on xp with star force since release on several different pc's without any problems.
My only star force issue came when I wanted to run with 64 bit os.
Otherwise, why complicate things.
