How come i have not been promoted :cry: i also have sunk 308640 tonnes of allied shipping

i am using GWX 3 SH3 Commander

Whats your average tonnage per patrol?
Do you use the "Realistic Career Length" option?

And no would would it help to use Realistic Career Length

Well, i just wanted to say that if your tonnage at the end of each of your patrols is less than the "promotion value" of the next rank then the game will not promote you.

And... yes, your remark about the SH3Cmdr setting mentioned above is correct. I wonder why i mentioned it...:hmmm:

Not in GWX3. Yes in stock game. As far as the others supermods are concerned i don't know.

If you open the Basic.cfg file (i think) hopefully you will find the the answers there. I'm sorry but i'm too tired to list the details.:ping:

Promotions (and whether you keep them) is based on your current renown.
I think you need 25.000 to get Lt. Cmdr.

If you spend big renown on new boats, equipment, and crew, this can keep you getting passed over for promotion.

Sounds like some extra mod messing things up. GWX promotes you to Oberleutnant after your very first patrol, every time.:-?

I'm no expert at this sort of thing, but the only one I can think would possibly have an affect on rank would be WB's Renown Replacemant. I don't know exactly what it does, but promotions are partly based on renown.

Dont know what the problem was (is) it would not promote me with my old career all mods enabled and disabled
Then i started new career with all mods it promoted me to Oberleutnant straight away :06:

If your using SH3 Commander it was probably as a result of the rollback function.

If not....then thank your lucky stars and crack on.
