Only legal loophole saves Scientology Corporation from getting banned in France

Heared it on radio this morning. It's like with the many Hitler assassination attempts. The bad guys always suvive, somehow.

There have been many successful court cases against Scientology throughout Europe and in some instances the US, for tax evasion, fraud, intimidation, threatening of former members, stalking, torture and implementing mental distress, denouncement, betrayal of state offices, deception of public offices, alleged kidnapping, abuse, and more.

Several European nations refuse to accept Scientology as a religion. Which is wise, while true.

I know exactly 0 who are into Scientology. It just seems to be the movie stars. I guess this is what you do when you're bored.

Yep. I know Christians (in just about every flavor you could name), Muslims, Mormons, Jews, even an odd atheist or two but not a single scientologist and I have been in nearly every state in the Union. If you read the Euro press however one would think they're as numerous as cockroaches.

I lost a Russian student to CoS.

He came in with the pamphlet and was waffling on about it all excited. I tried telling him it was BS but he didn't listen. He never came back....

There was rumour in France earlier this year that Scientologic lobbyists in France's National Assembly paved the way for those changes in laws earlier this year that now prevent the French from banning this organised fraud company, they were aiming at banning them since 15 years, roughly. The legal case that now got decided already was running or being prepared when the Assembly decided these changes. With the old legal rule in place, it would have been game over for Scientology today.

What a lucky coincidence!

Every now and then, there's a small stand here in front of the station or in the pedestrian zone where they have set up one of their e-meters (allegedly to analyze the 'stress level' of the people who are interested). Strange enough that there's always a couple of people willing to undergo the test :nope:

Yes, in fact they are pretty stupid. They're basically willing to give you money if you just ask them to do it.
Come to think of it, I could arrange something for you here. All I need is your address, bank account details and a small contribution to cover my expenses. Please contact me about further details.
