Money from the government!!!

Oh Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy, this is my lucky day

Got this in my E-mail Tonight.

Quote:

Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
United States Department of the Treasury

Dear Taxpayer,

After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity we have
determined that you are eligible to receive a tax refund of $2403.80.

Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 6-9 days in order
to process it.

A refund can be delayed for a variety of reasons.
For example submitting invalid records or applying after the deadline.

To access your tax refund, use the form attached to this email.

Regards,
Internal Revenue Service
It was addressed to "undisclosed recipients" I guess the IRS does that for security.

I know it is legitmite because the return address was "Internal Revenue Service" <service@irs.biz>

The attached form is an executable file so I guess it will allow me to submit my form automatically. What a convenience!

I can just count those greenbacks already. :yeah:

Good for you! :DL

Shearwater 10-24-09 04:56 PM

"Dear Taxpayer ..." :hmmm:

They're even using your real name!

Platapus 10-24-09 05:09 PM

And they said "dear" so it must be good news.

Shearwater 10-24-09 05:19 PM

Indeed. Looks like the Nigerian got a new job.

SgtPotato 10-24-09 05:37 PM

I'm sure it's a fake. there's no way that the irs e-mail should have ".biz" at the end of the address. IRS is a government agency and it supposed to have .gov.

Gee, ya think?

Sorry, but of course it's a fake, and by the joking tone of every post it's obvious that everyone knows it.

6 to 9 days.... :haha::har::rotfl2:

Cmon no one caught that?

AVGWarhawk 10-25-09 08:17 AM

Anything .gov seems to be a fake also. :88)

Isn't it nice that the government keeps you up to date with finances.
This would never happen if a Republican/Democrat was in charge
and or.....
This would always happen if a Republican/Democrat was in charge.
