Advice please shipmates???
 

ahoy oppos, as you can see from my posts im no noob to this site, however i am a noobie to Dangerous Waters. I am looking to download it from a site for around $15 (unless anyone knows of a cheaper legal download site), simply to try it out as ive been a Silent Hunter fan for the last few years.
Anyway im looking for the following advice:-

Is the game vista friendly?
Are there any issues with bugs etc?
What are the top mods recommended for this game?

The game works under both Vista 32/64bit tho the 64bit has shown some weird behaviour (use search function) which nevertheless doesnt make the game unplayable.

Once the game is patched to 1.04 (which it should be as download) you shouldnt encounter any major bugs. Sure, the game still has some but nothing a newbie at the game should notice (no showstoppers).

As for mods ... you have a wide ranging choice ..

- LwAmi 3.09
- RA/DWX 1.0
- AT

With the exception of the LwAmi Mod, the mods offer new playables in varying degress of perfection and "newness" (meaning being really different compared to the original playables).

many thanks for the swift reply shipmate, i have now downloaded it and i can see there is a steep learning curve to the functions of this game but thats the price of realism, im sure i will around this forum for a while to come!!!
