I dunno. I loved Road Warrior. However, after watching an aging Harrison Ford wheeze his way through a fourth Indiana Jones movie, I don't know if I wanna watch Mel go through the same as Max. Might be best to use fresh blood (as Miller suggested they may) and let the older actors stick to a cameo role. I know Gibson turned down the lead in Gladiator, because as he told Ridley Scott, "I'm just too old mate."

They should get Eric Bana for the role instead.

I hope he doesn't take the role as I haven't been able to stand Mel Gibson since he did The Passion and all the crap that went on after that.

As for the movie i wouldn't be surprised if it ends up worse then Beyond Thunderdome.. assuming that is even possible.

I'm just hoping it is not the stinker that was "Beyond the Thunderdome" IMHO the franchise got taken well of the rails by that piece of cinematic regurgitant.

I'm kind of hoping it gets back to the road warrior style action of the first two.

I dunno if Mel being in it would be good or bad. I guess it depends on when the 4th is set. 25 years Beyond the Thunderdome? Would there be any fuel production left by then?
