What about Jürgen Oesten?

I was wondering if Jürgen Oesten is still giving advice to the dev team :hmmm:

That man surely knows more about the u-boat war than any of us.

I hope you're not gonna announce me that he passed away!

That would be cool! But if he was technical adviser for SH-3 what could he possibly add to sh-5? I,m sure he gave the information he new

This would still be cool. Because I think it makes a difference wether someone like him monitors the development of the game in its process or it is just remembered what he had said 4 years ago.

Just had to say this: I have a hand signed autographed picture & U-Boat print (multiple) of Jürgen Oesten!!

Well, to me SH3 (i mean vanilla SH3) was very basic.
SH5 must have a lot more depth, so he could still give some very useful advice (particularly with crew interaction and reaction) and add to realism.

The man spent nearly 600 days on patrol, i'd be surprised if he would have told everything he knew, but i may be wrong.

Ja, and even beyond his early war accomplishments, he survived 2 late war patrols in a IXD2.
The man is realy someone to look up to, and respect. I do.

I was reading his story on u-boat.net and i just noticed that it will be his birthday in 2 days, what a coincidence!!

He will be 96, i wish him happy healthy long life :woot:

Thanks for the link...

Gotta wonder why UBI is still running a poll asking:
"How much are you looking forward to SH4?" lol
