Paranormal Activity

Skip it.

best part of the movie was the final 90 seconds of the film.

everything leading up to that was just not up to all the hype.

I remember Abbey Normal. Is she my girl or what?

Submarine 10-18-09 11:59 PM

So was it scary as hell?

Or just

I can remember a few movies throughout my life that made me not want to sleep at night... even as an adult.

i can remember films in my adolescence that made me sweat with fear.

seems like movies these days have 2 or 3 good "make you jump" scenes... and thats it.

the film is done in the spirit of "Blair Witch Project" which cuts down on the annoying shaky camera nonsense by affixing the camera to a tripod in the couples bedroom most of the time.

with all the hype... you are really expecting a good scare.

but what you end up with is a 80% average boring every day life being filmed... and at night when these two go to bed you get about 2 minutes or 3 minutes per scene of the covers moving, or a bump in the night.

Thanks for the review. Saved me $60 as I was going to see this tomorrow. Guess we'll pick something else.

Has anybody seen "Communion" with Christopher Walken?

I agree with Golden Rivet. Its a good idea, but poorly done with too much build up. A few scares, though.

Looked interesting, but not suprised to hear the reviews submitted here.

I enjoyed 'Blair Witch', but I wouldn't say I was scared so much as disturbed by it. Saw that on video so I figure I'll check this out, but won't waste the money to see it in the theater.

Hard to catch horror movies when your spouse hates them. Watching them alone isn't half as fun.:nope:

Meh, I've lost all interest in horror movies of today. I stick to the one's made in early 90's or earlier. :hmmm::yep:

Yep, I agree with dowly... they went from being the movie, to effects and crappy story lines...

Dowly 10-30-09 11:25 AM
