What the first five things you will do when you load up SHV for the first time?

ME... In the following order

1) Watch Intro.
2) Check out ALL the units in the Museum
3) Naval Accademy
4) Start a 1939 Career and complete 1st patrol.
5) explore mission editor and test the AI submarines to the limit :D

I got it all planned out .....Cant wait :salute:

1.) Check for a patch
2.) Play the game
3.) See if there are any mods out

You guys better also take some in game video and post it up on youtube, for us poor souls who probably won't be able to play it right away (I need new rig).

The first thing i am gonna do is get into my sub. Go somewhere deep and sink my sub. I wanna see how the crew reacts. I wanna see how do we all die :D

GoldenRivet 10-16-09 09:11 AM

1. Watch the intro

2. Que up a naval academy mission and walk from bow to stern of the boat... get a feel for the first person movement and check out all the compartments etc.

3. complete all the naval academy missions if possible.

4. practice with a few dry runs on some single missions

5. launch a career

GoldenRivet 10-16-09 09:49 AM

Before even running the game for the first time I'm going to see what kind of copy protection they put on it and try and remove it or disable it. I don't want that crap polluting my computers. Someday software developers will learn that where there's a will there's always a way. Instead of investing $ in that crap put that money into the game development :arrgh!:

SteamWake 10-16-09 11:01 AM

You sure you want to post that in an open forum read by the developers?

TheDarkWraith 10-16-09 11:17 AM

It's to express the point of quit wasting $ on crap and put it into the game. Look at SH4 - with patch 1.4 they effectively took out the copy protection. So ALL the money and time and man-hours spent putting it in was removed. That time, money, and man-hours could have been put to better use making the game better or fixing other bugs.
Maybe you like having that crap infect your computer. I don't. It can sometimes wreak havoc on installed devices and other software on your computer. I don't like troubleshooting software problems because someone 'thinks' I need to have this or that with something I legitimately bought.
I have nothing more to say on this subject. Enjoy your new game when it comes out :yep:
