Was just watching the opening episode of Stargate Universe and almost fell from my seat when Anderson came onto the screen.

Just look at him! What the heck happened to him? :o

Not even that old. I guess its about perspective. :) The pic was prolly taken 7-10 years ago.

Bet he can still do more with a piece of duct tape and gum than I ever can think of.

To the OP... "what happened to him"? Its called aging, see what kind of fun is in store for you? ;)

From what I recall Dowly, he had sever back issues from doing his stunts and what not. Bad backs lead to a lot of sitting and less exercise. This would probably account for some of his out of shape look. That and plenty of beer. :03:

probably more a case of unforgiving framming/perspective than utterly fatassness:O: Heh, I only hope to be in that shape at his age (well, a bit better I suppose!)

Ow and that pic is from this year, he has gained quite abit of weight especially on his face. The first scene with Anderson in SGU has him wearing sunglasses and his general's hat and I didnt recognise him until he started to speak.

I thought he'd gained a little around the face when he was chatting to Eli, I thought Don S Davis had come back from the grave for one last episode for a moment. :doh:

I was watching a DVD the other day and there was a promo for the MacGyver Season 1 box set and my dad says "Damn he's young there!"

I said "Well yea, he was going grey in season two of SG-1 and that was over 10 years ago." :haha:
