help needed
 

i have silent hunter 4 installed on my laptop however i think some of it has been uninstalled. i went to the add and remove programmes and tried to uninstall it. but it says set exe has stopped working. so have tried to install game again but the install option is not highlighted for me to install again. i tried to set up straight from the disc but i get a message saying:

THE SETUP HAS DETECTED THAT VERSION 1.04.000 OF SILENT HUNTER 4 WOLVES OF THE PACIFIC ALREADY INSTALLED.

THIS SET UP INSTALLS AN EARLIER VERSION OF SILENT HUNTER 4 WOLVES OF THE PACIFIC 1.00.0000.

YOUI HAVE TO UNINSTALL THE PREVIOUS VERSION BEFORE INSTALLING THIS VERSION.

But i cant seem to uninstall it.

Can anyone help?

Please explain it it simply as i have no idea about the tech side of things.

Hi Kent. Hmm sounds like you've got yourself in a pickle. I would venture to say that manually deleting SHIV? would not fix the issue because your registry would still find SHIV on your system. Have you tried contacting Ubi tech support? Also maybe somebody in the SHIV section could help although SHIII would share the same issue in that situation.

Try this I use it and its free and works well. I never uninstall using windows anymore cause this also cleans your registry when uninstalling.
