u-boat emblem

First i would like to say i tried operation monsun today and it rules! No need to reinstall sh-3 while you can have this mod! Thanks to the makers! But is there a way i can have a u-boat emblem ingame for my beloved u-boat? Really i can kill the time now with operation monsun while waiting for sh-5

Lurker will be along any minute... but in the meantime I can tell you sadly the answer is "no" - I tried several different things to add an emblem to my conning tower in OM... then I found out the skins are not accessible since they are in .dat file (could be wrong with that explanation... but the skins are pretty much inaccessible) - so they cannot be altered easily with a graphics program... like you could with a .dds file.

But OM makes the trade off for no emblem a good one with excellent graphics and solid gameplay... and it just seems to keep getting better. Good luck and happy hunting, sir!

Hey guys,

I'm at work now so I can't do a step-by-step or anything but it's definitely possible, just harder to figure out and less obvious than with the US side.

I started to make a list of which file to change or add for which type of boats and at which time of the campaign but it's not done yet. I also don't know if they'll be any side effects yet, like problems when getting a new model of conning tower etc.

Just joking of course, sorry about the delay. I'm working on that as we speak, I got SH4 re-installing in the background. I needed a clean install to test, I got so many changed files and different models it was too hard to keep track of what I successfully tested before and what I didn't.

I probably won't be able to test all the different models tonight but I'll post what I can. Expect some info in the next few hours.
