SH3 Faster torpedos, How?
It has certainly been awhile since i played the game, but I cant remember how I had torpedos loading fast and shooting fast, any ideas please?
Thank you. |
In difficulty settings under realistic reload times.:arrgh!:
|
huh? What do you mean under settings reload times?
|
Assign a Officer as Weapon Officer , is task is to open the torpedo tubes(Button Q) and you gain a couple of seconds. The same officer can also assigned as torpedo specialist and with the four crewman assigned to this job the work can be done more fast.
And of course the settings in realism and SH3 Commander. |
Thats assigning the crew there was an editor I used that let me change the speed and reload times, I wanted to find that out, plus also changing the torpedo explosion from what it is to a much larger explosion. Thanks.

I suggest You using S3D for this.:ping:

Oh, LOL memories.:D
Back when SH3 was first released a cheat application was designed, commonly called a Game Trainer. Basically it offered instant reloads, unlimited ammo and nuclear explosions. Various sites still have this tool but it is highly unlikely that it will work with any supermod without adverse effects. Today, S3D is our tool. With a little knowledge and patience, you can increase torpedo speed, number and damage radius. The same is true of other types of ammo. |
Can I actually edit the game file in any way so that the IXC I am currently using has MORE reserve torpedoes internally and externally? Is that possible?
|
Yes. :D
Bet you want to know how.:O: |

Ah, don't tease me! Tell me!!! :D |
BUMP!!! Tell me somebody! Please! :D
|
You can put up to 45 torpedos in a type IX, more than that and you got yourself a CTD while loading.
The set is: 17 internal 2 extra 8 external 8 external aft 4 internal aft 6 in the tubes. All that, editing basic.cfg. |
