Idyllic cottage for sale

First I laughed, but then I realised that advertizing like this borders fraud, imo. It's like advertising a car but not telling that it has no wheels.

:dead:

In medieval, they had this wonderful thing, the pillory. I deeply regret that we do not have it anymore, and that pillorying a sentenced deliquent is not being done anymore because it might prove to be damaging to his future social chances. Putting somebody into shame still is a very effective stimulus to make somebody change his behaviour. the worst fraudsters are those who never have been made ashamed, knowing no shame therefore.

:har: Having been there several times I can also account for the fact that it is in the arse end of nowhere, with the only access to civilisation being through a couple of small roads and a narrow gauge railway ;)

And of course, the two (soon to be one) nuclear power stations.

Not saying their exactly above board but 1nyone buying real estate wtihout viewing it first hand deserves what they get.

If I read such an advert, sit in a car and travel three hours just to find something like in this case, I would be pissed, and very much so. That I would not buy it, doesn't change that. And then three hours back home.

I wonder if their advertising slogans say something like "Why use a night light and waste power? Chernobyl table water, drink and glow today!"

Ah, so there's a nature reserve in the area......well everythings alright then.

You'll probably be able to sneak in for nothing during the night, I hear the ducks glow in the dark :DL

Knowing thier luck with the way british policy works that power has to go to york before it comes back to that house "its easier so they say"

Skybird 10-01-09 11:39 AM

Nonsense, they get static electricity, without wire, that is.

Really hair-raising stuff.

I think I'd rather live near the nuke plant than here. Oil refinery in the background. BTW this is also in the UK.
