Sydney engulfed by huge dust storm
I awoke this morning just before dawn to a sight like this:
http://images.smh.com.au/2009/09/23/...iu-600x400.jpg Driving to work was like driving through thick red fog. Visibility was down to only a few hundred metres. The airport got closed for a while and Sydney Harbour ferries were also halted. The sky didn't really start to clear until around 2 or 3pm this afternoon. A very eerie looking day. http://www.smh.com.au/multimedia/nat...0923-g19h.html http://www.smh.com.au/environment/sy...ml?autostart=1 More pics from smh here: http://www.smh.com.au/photogallery/e...0923-g0tw.html |
I blame it all on those evil corporations and their huge profits and wreckless disdain for the enviroment.
Just ask the UN :salute: |
Great day to have asthma:doh:. So did you wear you afrika korps uniform to work?:haha:

It's always like that in Sydney when Jim has just eaten a curry!

I tell you....it was so bad KL was forced to wear extra underwear and sleep with one eye open for fear of TarJak and his dreaded camera with the lens filters. "Withdrawal symptoms from being away from sheep and kangaroos for so long" he told us :DL |
:har:
Jim's camerawork was so shaky I had to take over. |
