Extra early '45 Balao deck gun?
 
so, i get a new skin on the balao with the first patrol in '45. except when i'm in the office setting up the new boat, there's a 3" aft deck gun instead of the bow 5" I had on when i came into port. i've got it saved on the new patrol so that everything is fine EXCEPT: in the game i have 2 deck guns and the stern one is completely useless. I tried to use the deck gun fix, but, there's no "compartment 8" listed at all. anyone know how to get rid of that extra deck gun? OR, how i can enable that extra deck gun so i can put crew into it?

what mods are you using and what is the order in which you installed them?

SCAF 1.5, max optics 1.5, NSM4 classic, PE4_final and a skin, in that order.

The deck gun can't be manned by either you or the AI crewmen. However, even without spending the renown to get the fore and aft deck guns upgrade, the second deck gun automatically fires with the manned one. Now, I don't know if it does any damage, but it looks great. And it's better to look good than to feel good.:)
