Red Faction Guerrilla
Thanks to a close friend of mine, i got my hands on thise game. If the first part of Red Faction was a first personal shooter, thise on is 3rd personal. Lots of fun especially when it comes to total destraction:fff:. The grafics and special effects are amazing.
Overall i will give to thise game a score of 8 out of 10. Here is a short video preview i made (youtube) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_foTG6DegVM :salute: |
I must be getting old, I dont understand why people like games like this. (I havent tried it, just judging by the video)

I'm not a fan of these games either, but at least the destruction of buildings is pretty interesting; they're constructed like real buildings. If you can identify the supporting walls and columns, just target those with explosives and the whole building comes down. Pretty cool.
GTA on mars, basically, with the possibility for large scale demolitions thrown into the mix. Sadly the look of it just screams "I'm a console game!", leaving the demolitions stuff to carry it, which doesn't seem enough. :-? |
What a coincidence, I actually got this for PC yesterday. I personally love it, the destruction is so much fun, really satisfying to just plough into a building in a massive dump truck :yeah: It's just a shame it doesn't have the same atmosphere as the first one...

The demolitions in it is not overly realistic. I especially love when a massive building stays standing due to a couple of rebar left in a corner. That or like Yatzee said, the world is made out of Styrofoam (which would explain the kind of damage you can do with a sledgehammer)

Didnt like it at all. It was very boring and you just were thrown in without much of a story or anything. The destruction part was nice, but got old fast.
