Theater of war

Well we have sailed in the Atlantic, Pacific, and the Indian Ocean, but what about the Gulf of Mexico? 1942 was a duck hunt in this area off the shore of New Orleans. Lying in wait at the mouth of the Mississippi it was easy pickings.

really? are there many wrecks clogging things up there?

I also know that there were reports that one or two UBoats made a trek into the Great Lakes via the St. Lawrence River... don't know if this was ever confirmed or not. :ping:

A good show about it.

It could be solved by mods, increasing naval traffic in some areas

But sadly at the moment any submarine sim have all theaters of war in the same game

GWX has everything more or less apart from the Pacific.....using the merged campaign mod.

In SH4 you can do the "World at War" using Run Silent Run Deep the Campaign (RSRDC) for the Pacific and Operation Monsun (OM) for the Atlantic / IO.

As part of OM, there is "Operation Paukenschlag" The assault on the east coast of the US / Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean (December 1941 – June 1943)

FYI

I will be porting over OM into SH5 ( tenative title will be Operation Monsun II )

What's sad about a game being able to cover many theaters? The benefit of restriction is...?
