Once recorded - lost... found again...

There are songs and pieces of music that can be done right only by one singer, or artist. Not all songs are like this, but some: before you did not see it that way, but after this somebody came along and performed it you just know that it can't be done any better. It must not always be the high art, but what it is about is that things just perfectly match right in a perfect moment of time: place, mood, voice, song, performance

These two gems are part of a broadcast from German TV sometimes in the mid-80s, the first song is not being done by anybody else like by good ol' Sammy who is doing it brilliantly, and for some reason it always touches me, really; and the second he only performed very rarely only anyway. Back then I had recorded the show on VHS - only to lose that video soon time after. I just found it at youtube this evening. It made me doing a time warp.

Enjoy!

My tastes and interests are very diverse, you know. ;) But if I post a thread on Bach for example, I possibly wouldn't get a single hit. :)

Maybe Vangelis, anyone? :DL

P.S. One favourite book is The Titus Books by Mervin Peake, then D.H. Lawrence and Ray Bradbury. :D

Can't say, I don't know them, I never say them in shopos, I never have heared of them. I use CH Fighterstick and ProThrottle, plus Simpeds, and I would buy them again.

Antarctica.
Oceanic.
Blade Runner.

And several other albums and pieces. Just his latest stuff, since "El Greco" maybe, is no longer my cup of tea.
