This is an easy one.

SUBSIM = $$$$

Carotio = 0

Anyone wants to use the word "SUBSIM" has to pay him.

Anyone wants to use the word "Carotio" you don't get squat.

Mr. Neal Stevens

It has come to my attention that "Subsim" is now a registered trademark. I would like to bring it to your attention formally, that I have been using the subsim name as a part of my signature for some time now at the subsim.com forums.

Please consider this a written request to continue using the trademarked Subsim name as part of my forum signature, so that any infringement issues might be avoided in the future.

Congratulations on your trademarking, and thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Sincerely,

John Sealey

Yeah, the main thing, it protects my intellectual property, i.e., the subsim website and community concept. So if some yahoo decides to start up a copycat website, and call it Ocean Subsim, or something similar to Submarine Simulation / SubSim, he will be infringing on my trademark and be liable to pay me damages. Most people don't do that sort of thing in the first place, because they respect each other.

No problem, I discussed it with Adrian some time back, it's for educational purposes.
