(TMO) Getting speed estimation from the Sonar crew

I just started SH4 (v1.5) again after a long hiatus. I installed the latest TMO mod.
My question is this: I remember that I was able to get info on a target's speed from the Sonar station, but I can't seem to remember how I did it. Neither of the buttons in the Sonar section give me that kind of info (only broad estimations of slow, medium or fast speed).
Is this a feature that was disabled in the TMO mod or am I doing something wrong?

 If you got more than "slow," "medium," "fast" or "increasing/decreasing" ... find that sonar man and see if he has a brother. Otherwise, keep your stopwatch handy.

Easy rule of thumb....Slow is 1-7 knots....Medium is 7-12 and Fast is 12+

If the target is unalerted and following steady course at slow speed, its more often than not, 7 knots, medium will be 9 and fast will be around 16 knots.Best is to get out your chronometer and double check because in TMO is will vary from time to time, but sometimes you have to shoot on the fly and guess.

If target is alerted and making evasive moves at slow speed, the merchants nearly always move at 5 knots while making evasive zigs and such, so set speed to five, wait till they zig back towards you, as the angle lessens, fire, itll hit nearly everytime.

I found it, it's the second button where you input the speed in the TMA. When I press it, the sonar man gives me his estimate.

Also, thanks Bubblehead1980, useful info you have there.
