I found this videos on youtube (they where uploaded just today), great documentary about the u-boat war, has a interview with some U-boat commanders that survived the war & Karl Donitz.

Good episode and great series overall. Probably the best WWII documentary ever made IMO. :yeah:

Looks at the human side of the war very well in addition to the history, plus some great footage.

I remember watching the series in 1973(can't recall if that was the initial release or not :hmmm:). I was 8 yo. Probably the one thing that got me hooked on WWII history.

Bought the whole series on VHS about 20 years ago.

Outstanding documenrary about The Battle of the Atlantic, and i remember to see this on tv when i was a boy...long time a go! :yeah:

I've seen some cheaper versions on DVD as well. Look around, they're out there and well worth the price.

Definately worth a watch, a great series and very well narrated (By Lawrence Olivier ;)).
Also good is The Nazis, a Warning from History.
