Medals - Renown changes
 

I was on my 4th patrol and was a relatively good patrol sinking 6 merchants for 32,500 tons and a Battle Cruiser for 48,000 tons, and was awarded almost every award in 1 patrol:

The thing is now I don't have any awards to look forward too, I assume the basic.cfg file containing the following would just have to be changed:
Has anyone ever changed this and have some good recommended values to use? I was just going to up them all by 20000 or so!:hmmm:

Yep ! A couple of years ago theres a semi detailed thread around by CB? or sergbuto about those values... dont quite remember.

Dosnt SHCommander up the values?

I hadn't seen the thread or it was so long ago I'd forgotten, do the values you use pan out ok, I generally find that I get all my medals in the first 6 or so patrols then at the end of all other patrols nothing, have nothing to look forward to so the enthusiasm is lost!!:03:

Wow Reece your values are low!

SH3Cmdr stopped modifying the values sometime back in 2006. They're still in "Static settings.cfg", but commented out.

They are:
Bear in mind though that the values you use need to be tailored to suit your game. The settings for, say, GWX, may not be good for you if you are running a different mod that handles renown differently.

The above settings, IIRC, were originally RuB settings.

I thought the same thing concerning the higher level medal award process. After I became a more proficient u-boat commander, I thought the medals were given out too quickly. I did modify the basic.cfg file and doubled all tonnage requirements. The Knights Cross with diamonds now takes 100,000 tons of shipping sunk to reach, for example. I like this a lot better, now. SH3Commander also monitors the medal distribution, as well.

Ahh, getting a better picture now, I might up mine to the values you show Jaesen, I am using the latest SH3 commander and the basic.cfg file is a couple of years old, never new SH3 Commander ever altered these.:oops:

I like the background pictures that show, when viewing your reports page. What mods are you using?

Good grief!!:o not sure who's it is, I have over 500 mods in my version that has been put together since the beginning of version 1.4b stock!! If you really want it I could just upload it with the corresponding menu screens, would take some time though.:doh::yep:
