One time event?

I don't remember if it was GWX 2.1 or 3.0, however I was in a Type II at AN 18 chasing an ore carrier. He was moving at 9 knots in rough seas while I was on flank trying to catch him.
Out of the blue I get an aircraft warning-it turned out to be a pair of JU 88s going for the ore carrier. They dive bombed as I watched and had several near hits thereby slowing down the carrier for me to finish off.
Anyone else experience this or have similar tales of German aircraft helping out?
Anyone seen a Condor in the Bay?

Depending on where you are they can be quite a regular occurance. If you send off a contact report the luftwaffe often appear in the bay and sometimes even surface ships will appear. Someone posted pics of such in a thread here not long back. I was once saved by the luftwaffe when they sank a destroyer that was steadily homing in on me.

Yep, luftwaffe also does their part in GWX3. On my last patrol I was attacking convoy in BF17 and I saw a Condor flying perhaps ? Can't tell you exactly the type since I spoted him on periscope and I'm not using external cam. so..

Never seen a Luftwaffe aircraft in the Atlantic but in the Med, you see 'em a lot. They can be both a help(they've kept some escorts busy while I slipped away) and a hinderance(stolen kill; caused a target I'm stalking to start zigging and his speed to change due to damage).
:)

For some reason I always thought Zigzaging is caused only when your u-boat gets detected. :hmmm:

I've seen them zig zag to try and avoid dive bombers too.

Too often Goerings fur lined boot brigade turn up and steal your kill :stare:

Vessels zig zag automatically at the first hint of danger, regardless of the platform.
