A simple fix
 

I know it has been mentioned in the past, because I remember it, but can't find it.

I'm Captain of an IXB, just changed bases from Willhamshaven to Lorient.

However, whenever I start up the game, I keep getting the message that my base has been changed to Willhamshaven. :damn:

Can somebody direct me to where the thread is that addresses this problem or just tell me how to fix this?

its just the game "Hiccuping"

if you aren't heading out from lorient, then thats your return base.
just head there when you are finished with your patrol (finished means still in game, not in a menu)

No, its not that.

After returning to Lorient, I transfered to the 7th Flotilla at St. Nazaire. (Done this to get open access to the ocean upon departure)

And loading the game, I still get the message:
