Questions about GWX3.
Wanted to say hello and intoduce myself and ask a couple of questions about GWX3.
I started the game and only received 1000 renown. I read in the manual it was supposed to be 1500. Just wondered if anyone else started in Konigsberg and made the mistake of sinking the ships they tell you to in the briefing? I think that this is something that should be fixed. I do not think it is fair that they tell you to sink them and then penalize/give you -renown for doing so. I realized after they were British (neutral at the time) ships. During the mission I thought they were target ships as stated in the briefing. Target ships to me means decomissioned ships used for target practice, not ships from another country that you can shoot at at your own peril. :damn: Why isn't the briefing like it is for the 1st and 2nd Flotilla. Go out, cruise around for a couple of days, return to port. As a newb, if the briefing says go sink this ship, that is what I will do. I am after all a mere Kaleun. Who am I to question BdU. :salute: Any way, love the game, love the forum, looove GWX. Hope to be regular here. DU |

With all the hype about SH5 and the GWX team working on GWX4 it might be awhile before you get a straight answer. Hang in there and enjoy. Btw There is a simple way to change Renown. :yep: |
WELCOME ABOARD!:sunny:
And I had nothing to do with GWX3, but I can give some straight answers. Quote:

After your first patrol go to (my example): C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\My Documents\GW3\data\cfg\Careers\Konrad Hähnel Open up the Patrol_0 CFG and change the DeltaRenown figure near the bottom to a value of your choosing. |
Welcome Aboard Kaleun.:salute:BP

After reading the GWX3.0 Gold manual, I saw that there are no more renown given for any tutorial (Naval Academy). The way I read that is not even for the first one (Navigation).
Did I miss something? For the AA (FLak gun training) yes that is extremely hard. In a mission I would presume that we would dive all the time against air threat. I am wondering when we will be using our guns (unless we cannot dive or we got taken by surprise). Is any of you would be using the manual for this? I think I would let my crew handling that all the time. Thank you for the info. |
