Change bases
 

As I was leaving Willhelmshaven in late August 1940, I got a pop-up saying the base had changed to Lorient. The mission is to leave and return to Willhelmshaven. The last time this happened I returned to base and the next mission was 'Null'. I restarted the mission and returned to Lorient and it said I was in another base after mission. The next mission was again 'Null'. What do I do?

I feel like a ping pong ball going between w-haven and Lorient. :damn:

when your in base try transfering to a new flotilla? that could reset the base option.
alternatively if you have sh3 commander for your next mission choose the option to be at sea rather then in base and try returning to your home port or wherever they tell you is your current port see if that helps?

When pop-up saying this, you must return to Lorient - a new base, not to the Willhelmshaven, because after this messege You aitomaticaly starting from the other base. Now is like this. Willhelmshaven is the other starting base now. Lorient is a home base from this time. If you have problem with this, try to leave Willhelmshaven and then save game on the sea [minimum 50 km from land or other unit]. Then load Your seaved game again. :know:

"Null" info sometimes is display, when a base is not operational yet.:yep:

On some careers I've noticed the game decides to tell me that the flotilla has been disbanded and I've been transfered to 1st flotilla at kiel at the start of every mission no matter where in the war I am. To counter this I have to retransfer back to the flotilla I was in at the end of every mission. :damn:

If your playing GWX3.0 and use SH3 Commander.....don't forget the CFG file.

So what are we supposed to do in this circumstance?

I had the same problem.
I started my patrol in jun `40 nad base of the 2nd flotila has changed to lorient.So when I allmoust run out of fuel I docked at Lorient but I did not get any sub impovmernt just like I docked at neutral harbour.
Just refuled, restocked my torps and left in one day apart.
How to change my base.Should next time i just hit the esc and exit patrol and then when in Willhelmshaven try to change the foltila or what.
Should we not be transfred automaticly?
