Might be your ISP selling your information, not just the "end" site

I got **** loads of recruiting brochures when I turned 18, probably just the government wanting your soul.

I went to the Alcoa website to look around.

They sent me a TinFoil Hat. :DL

:har:

well it was a first for me.

I have never once received any "snail mail" related to my browsing activities before.

if thats the case i should receive boat loads of airplane, airline, flight school, and subsim related stuff.

not to mention a freight truck full of dirty magazines :har:

So did you check out the brochure?

Yes, i did.

1. the only thing i ever wanted to join the navy for was to be a pilot, this was of course 12-15 years ago. in 1999 i had Lasik surgery which according to recruiters disqualified me from the position. I have since been modestly successful in the civilian aviation industry so it sort of defeats the purpose of joining the navy at this point.

2. I have absolutely no interest in scrubbing the head of some old rust bucket LST day in and day out for the next four years.

3. I have no desire to work under the direct command authority of our current administration.

You want junk mail buy a house. The sheer volume I get now is amazing.

GoldenRivet 08-15-09 08:40 PM

you dont have to buy a house at all.

just rent one.

hell rent an apartment.

the sure fire way to get paper wasted is to put up a mailbox somewhere.

I have always wondered what would happen if i built a home and didnt build a mailbox

I found out why that is not too long ago - if you file a change of address form at the post office, that puts you on a ton of direct mail lists.

It's more than that. I've been getting life and mortgage insurance offers from companies that know exactly how much I borrowed on the house.

I remember once when we changed ISPs, I received by first piece of span less than one minute after registering my new E-mail address.

ISPs don't waste any time in selling your information. :nope:
