Right, I have decided that having the .50 on the Narwhal is a good start, but I'd rather have the historically correct one at first : the John Browning's M1917 .30 caliber machine gun.

The M1919A4 weighed about 31 lb (14 kg), and was ordinarily mounted on a lightweight, low-slung tripod (for infantry use).

I will make the 3D model, same as when I did the japanese light 7.92 mm machine gun and I hope Peabody will agree, again ;), to make the files needed to implement it ingame as a new weapon.

I have to do some research to see if the weapon on board subs was the water or the air cooled model.

My guess would be the air cooled version, its less cumbersome than the water cooled, and since the water cooled version needed fresh water, you are kinda out of luck with the ocean being everywhere in and around the gun

for now we have the stock M2 .50 machine gun implemented by Peabody till I can whip out a .30 model ;)

btw on the Narwhal the plancks were placed lengthwise...
