Windows 7 RTM Now Available for TechNet Plus Subscribers

This version should be a close as you can get before it is released to the public. So I'm going to load it up on a new HD and test away!

I would be very interested to hear how it compares to beta/RC in terms of resources used.

I'll be reporting back as I can, still downloading and formatting this TB drive, I don't know which is going to take longer!

I still have the RC at work so a comparison will be pretty close, except I'm going 64bit at home.

Tech-net has been around for years, you get to DL and test a huge amount of the software they have. This is really important if your implementing it on a network for business.

I have downloaded a few programs that I thought were what we needed only to find out different. They just didn't do what we wanted.

All I can say is the 64bit version of Win7 is fast, very fast. I loaded this program earlier but had to go back to my previous version of vista for other reason.

So far everything is clicking well and will load SH4 this weekend.

Memory use on initial loading of OS below

Excellent, thanks for that. :salute:

Number of processes and memory used looks the same, so it's fairly safe to assume they didn't sneak in any bloat at the last minute.

No problem, I'll be running this awhile, so I'll complain or compliment as needed. Any request for testing something else let me know.
