game crash after update
 

hi there!

i installed silent hunter 3 and i wanna give itt a tray to install the
U-Boat Battle in the Mediterranean silent hunter 3 expansion pack.
when i am tray to launch the game it crashes.
another thing i am unable to do a update becouse itt cant find the
game version in the menu txt.

any post back would be great thank you very much.

Try this:

Look first here C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu and you must see two files named: de_menu.txt and en_menu.txt.

Click to install the correct update, but when it comes to real installation first delete the de_menu.txt to the recycle bin. After deleting it to the recycle bin click to install the update (still not the real install), when asked to install the update, restore the de_menu.txt.

Then install the update completely. Look in de folder if de_menu.txt is back where it belong.

I hope you can understand it, because it is difficult to explain the exact procedure in English.

Sorry guys, but I have to answer his problem in the Dutch language, because it is quite difficult for me to explain it in correct English.

Here we go:

Sluit Silent Hunder III af (exit).

Verwijder (naar prullenbak!) de_menu.txt en en_menu.txt in:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu

Installeer je patch of wat je werkelijk wilt installeren.

LET OP BELANGRIJK! Voordat de daadwerkelijke install gaat beginnen, de 2 txt's (de_menu.txt en en_menu.txt) terugzetten (restore)!!!

Dan pas de patch of upgrade installeren!

Het is dus de bedoeling om slechts eventjes de twee txt bestanden naar de prullenbak te verzetten, daarna wel terugzetten zoals bovenstaand staat weergegeven.

Ik hoop dat je hier wat aan hebt!
