From GWX 2.1 to 3.0

I want to go back to SHIII. To pass from 2.1 to 3.0 is that possible to keep your training points or percentage?

backup your save files... they should work in GWX 3.:up:(did for me.)

It's a gamble whether it will work or not.

We recommend you install GWX3.0 on a fresh installation of SH3 patched to 1.4b.

Should it worth it then?
What is the big difference between 2.1 and 3.0?

Please stop recommending this course of action. Using save-game profiles from previous versions is much like Russian Roulette. You have simply been lucky thus far.

There is good (and complicated) reason why we do not recommend the course of action you continue to promote.

Muddying the waters for new GWX users causes much difficulty when it comes to user support... which is something you don't have to worry about when things go wrong.

New GWX users, and veterans upgrading from previous GWX releases should follow Jimbuna's directions here:

AND

Users should delete the "SH3" folder in "My Documents" to ensure complete removal of previous profiles and/or saved game data.

Oh KL, that's just silly. I re-add files like that all the time, and with no trouble at all.

On an unrelated note, I've posted over in the GWX thread about problems I'm having with game crashes. Could you help me figure this out?
