Cruise ship arrives with a little surprise
|
Yea saw this.
No one realy knows if the whale was already dead when he got snagged. But they evidently dident even know it was there till they reached port :o But if not one would think this kind of thing would happen more often. |
Hardly news. Whales get stuck on the front of ships all the time.
Often they slow smaller ships down and the ship is obliged to stop at wich point the whale often limps out of the way. |
Still doesn't pay to play chicken with something bigger than you!

Poor sod....lets hope whale meat wasn't on the evening menu :hmmm:

"Hardly news. Whales get stuck on the front of ships all the time.

Being a land locked landlubber from Calgary, I wasn't aware of that. I thought the newsworthy part was the fact a cruise ship arrived in port with one stuck to it's bow. I also thought it a bit strange that they didn't notice anything wrong. Probably happened at night but you would think they would of noticed higher then usual fuel consumption. Of course they may have but where at a loss to explain why. Rob |
