Crew Images for SH3 Commander
 

Has anyone created photo images for the crew (instead of cartoonies). SH3 Commander has a nice B&W and wondered if crew images in Commander can be replaced with images from Das Boot.

I am with Pappy... I know there are crew icon mods out there.. how about it? any Das boot stuff? Or even AoD crew icons? I remember reading about this b4 but god knows where. :hmmm:

I am not sure what you are asking. There are several mods that replace the officer's faces on the f7 screen with real portaits of Germain officers. There is a mod that replaces the faces with Das Boot officer's faces.
There are a few mods that replace all the officer cartoon faces with real faces.
As for CMDR, you can just insert any pictures in a jpeg format of size 100x150 and number them above the pictures in the "image" folder and then you can choose them for your commander's picture.

Lemme 'splain. I opened up all the folders in the game to hunt for the cartoon faces and replace them with the boys from Das Boot film using the same size and file extension, then I thought ... after finding the cartoon images ..

Hey, somebody must have done this ... if they did where are they to download?

SH3 Commander obviously uses the data in the game folders so if someone has altered the officer cartoon image files to Das Boot officer images - then why should I re-invent the wheel?

I just need to download them ... if they can be found.

The link is dead, but someone must have these and perhaps could upload them to subsim; the six sets of faces are in the download section; but there is a set with the Das Boot faces. However, I don't have it.
