Any opinions?
This is a pic of the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Scranton (SSN 756) arriving for a routine port visit on the island of Crete. Souda Bay I suspect. http://www.navy.mil/view_single.asp?id=74173
If you download the HiRes file the rust around the verticle launch tubes is very apparent, campared to the overall appearance of the sub. Certainly they didn't depart Norfolk looking like that. Do you think seals were broken and missiles fired? Are Predators the only weapon system being used in Afghanistan? |
Im sure you wont find any lack of opinions around here ;)
Personally I say 'who knows' But it looks like normal wear and tear to me. Since it is around ALL of the tubes evidently. |
