Its not paranoia when someone shows up here at the airport asking questions like:

1. "Can i book a flight? and bring a weapon along?"

2. "Can you take me on a scenic tour so i can take pictures of area power plants and bridges?"

3. "Does your airport have security guards? are they there at night?"

4. "Do you have hangar space available that is in a secluded area of the airport?"

5. Could a plane like this take down a building if it was packed with explosives?" (ive had that one)

1. Perhaps he is a hunter and is wondering if it is legal to transport his firearms by private plane?

2. Probably making a brochure for the local area focusing on industry??

3. Someone wants to base their airplane here and is wondering about our security???

nothing wrong with any of that... but it only takes one person with bad intentions to ruin the day.

there is nothing wrong these days with asking "Well... why do you ask that?"

But we didn't see all the folks who challenged the guy (edited out) or the producer running in at the end explaining it was a TV spot. With proper ID I'm sure.

The other thing one could take away from this is that all the profiling which is said to be going on, isn't.

If I saw such a guy in a street, I would only be annoyed that someone actually makes such a corny joke against such a background.
And I'd still say that it's playing with paranoia. The scary thing is that the real bad guys are always one step ahead. Free societies cannot control all aspects of their citizens' lives and still be worthy of the name. If governments try to do so, they're doing more for the terrorits than they are aware of.
I hope I'm not hijacking this thread. I just think it's not that funny actually.

Of course not. This is a light comedy show not a serious attempt to prove America's guard is down. Just an attempt at humor nothing else.:D
