British Sub Missing

Anybody know why the ship ID log does not have any British Subs? Just raided the British Sub Base north of Scappa (Lerwick) sic, and sunk an S and T class there but neither were identified in my ship ID book. Neither were recorded as ships sunk in radio messages but were shown in my ships sunk log onboard. Running GWX 3.0 gold in 1939.

I'm refering to the recognition manual. There are no British subs listed in my manual. Now, I may have lost them by using some mods, but I'm wondering if edits to the menu_1024 would cause them to me omitted. Manual seems the same and most ships are there but no British subs. If they are not in the manual, is that why they don't show up as sunk? Running GWX3.0 Gold.

Not sure why they're not showing sunk but as I recall they're not included in the recognition manual even on stock. Probably as you're not expected to meet with them much, if at all.

No subs are included in the recognition manual. IIRC it has something to do with the fact that they are classed as "U=Boats" in game and therefore are treated differently to surface vessels.

That's my understanding also.

Thanks

Thanks Guys! Not a big deal, just wondered 'why'. Raided Lerwick and sunk two British subs and a V&V moored there. All showed up in the ships log, but the two subs don't show up in the radioed postion report or on the map as sunk (the V&V does). Just another quirk I assume but doesn't take away from the game.

Thanks again for the replies.
