Free camera
 

How do you move freely around the sub, inside and out. I cant seem to remmeber the key strokes...not sure if it is the beerz or what?:timeout::dead:

It's Shift+F2 for the Command room free camera. There's no free camera for outside the command room, and the command room free camera won't let you go outside.

:cool: It's totally unrealistic, but you can walk (in a way that reminds me of Groucho Marx) through the starboard aft hatch, look up, and see the conning tower.

There are also free camera mods that give you free cam outside the sub, in the conning tower etc.

There is a command to go to the conning tower. It can be enable by assigning a key, or a button if you have SH4 Menumaker. But, it's not a free camera. It just works like the regular command room camera. There's no conning tower free camera command, so the only way to do that is walk from the command room.

FYI, there's another command that places you next to the attack periscope, but not looking through it. It has a very limited range of movement though.

I remember that you could walk around the outside of the sub. How do you do that...I forgot? Shift F2 does not work.

You never could in SH4.. at least I never could... If you use one of the free camera mods then you can "float" around the deck, exactly like hitting Shift F2 in the Command Room.

Sift F2 does not work for me. I used to move anywhere on the outside of the sub which was kinda fun. You could go up the ladder for instance and be a lookout...very cool. For some reason I forgot or put a mod in that disabled this feature.
