Scene Data Help Please
I would like to clear up my water a little bit, could someone tell me which part of the scene data file deals with water clarity?Have searched many posts and threads but not sure what to tweak, and yes I do have the editor I just need to be pointed to the right node. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think you need to adjust the settings in the ENV folder.
EnvColors_blah blah blah. Not the scene.dat |
No it's the scene data file because I just tweaked it.Thanks anyway.

Tells you what I know.
:haha: Glad you got it sorted. |
privateer didn't know something about SH3?!?!?! :o
I'll be in my underground shelter until after the coming apocalypse. :dead: |
If you're refering to underwater clarity then this may help you.
Open the scene.dat with Sh3-editor and look for the following entry: http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/7097/71931629.jpg The highlighted "ZMax=15" is the area that you'd need to tinker with (both ZMin and Zmax). I forget what each of the values correlate to but basically a higher number equates to better visibility. I guess you could trial and error your way to what you want (my values above are for poor visibility and very murky underwater clarity). I hope that helps! |
SH3 Commander does this for you.:yep:

Yeah thanks to all.I figured it out right after I posted, guess I should have deleted just got to busy playing. :yeah:

The level of skill and craftsmanship you guys display just turns me inside out! I'd be one of the first in line to vote for a "Modders' Appreciation Day" to be added to the Subsim Calendar. I know just enough to be a danger to myself and my SH installations. For me, hex editing will likely always be just a notch below witchcraft, in its arcane complexities, but staring at the files as they're presented in S3D has begun to brighten the light bulb filament a bit. |
