Aussie sailors create their own R&R :woot:

An investigation is under way in Australia into claims that navy sailors competed with each other to bed their female colleagues for cash prizes.

Well, that keeps the morale high.:D

I'm not sure. How many hot Navy chicks have you seen?

Schroeder 07-07-09 01:01 PM

I've never been in the Navy and women had only just gotten permission to join the combat units when I served so I didn't see a single one.:O:

Well she was a Marine and an actress no less.:haha: Id say it averages out I was in the USAF for while and there where some good and not so good looking women not like that really had any effect on how well they performed thier jobs. Though the unit I was in at one point had only 2 women in it and they where ok with the male language(so long as not directed at them) but I do recall once when we had a female coming in form tech school the SNCO reminding us to give the dirty jokes a break for a bit. It did not last though the first day she was in the shop she made a very hilarous joke about how her coveralls had a buldge in the crotch that made it look like she had dick. She turned out to have some of the most salty language and sense of humor of any one in the whole unit. She could drink most of the guys under the table with ease as well.

Of course no unit I was ever in had a "contest" like this supposed one though there was some strange stuff going on and this could be total b.s. I dont know about the Aus. military but an enlisted and an officer even socializing much is not allowed for obvious reasons. Also it was well known to many lower enlisted that the guys and gals who selpt with other military members always tended to get the STDs:hmmm: at much higher rates than those who "bedded" with none military partners take from that what you will.

Sounds like M.A.S.H.

Here it is straight from the horses mouth. There are no, NO, good looking women in the navy. You might get one occasionally but they nearly non existant.

Stealhead 07-07-09 11:02 PM

That is wrong I saw some very hot Navy girls at the one of the medical tech schools while I was in tech school at Sheppard AFB.Come on man you cant be serious with that statement.Or you are extremly picky beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all.But if you saw my wife youd say I have very good taste in women.Though I did not marry her because she looked good that is just a benafit:shucks: if you married based purely on looks you are in for some real trouble. You can take that to the bank.

@Buddahaid yes you could say it is like M.A.S.H. There was a small park on Sheppard AFB (mostly various tech schools for diffrent jobs for all branches) which got dubbed STD park at some point do to all the tech students caught uh "dancing" there. It is not like they dont let you "dance" they just want you to get a room and wear the proper "dance" shoes. Some folks just have trouble with the latter. One thing that I wonder if the folks investagting this whole thing;how do they know that the males saliors just lied about what females they slept with? It sounds like a game you could easily cheat on clearly it was unknown to the females so you would not be able to variy the claimed points without keeping the game hidden form the females. If they where honest Roise Palmer would have been the most common name.:rotfl:

How many weeks at sea were you?

The nickname for a WRAN used to be "Dog". One wonders why.:hmmm:

WRAN used to be what Australia called women in the navy.

UnderseaLcpl 07-08-09 01:53 AM

Well that's kind of odd. The Australian navy has male sailors? In the US navy, the only men on board are Marines:DL

bookworm_020 07-08-09 01:59 AM

I'm sure there is going to be a big fall out with this, in light of them trying to attract more people, including women into the navy:timeout:
