Cell phone recommendations?

okay, I gotta get a cell phone. I don't like them and/or use them much. What are your recommendations. Are the track phones any good, the ones that work likecalling cards. I don't want different rates, meaining I can call anywhere w/o woring about extra charges. I don'tcare about special features. I just need caller id.

Neal, stop laughing.
oh yeah, I need it by tommorow:D

If you're looking for prepay, go with GoPhone from ATT. It's the prepay of choice for my talkative daughter. If you decide to take the plunge with a contract, do NOT use Sprint. I just switched to Sprint from Verizon and while it is a little bit less expensive monthly, I've never had so many dropped calls and poor signal areas with Verizon.

My two cents, anyway.

Agreed.. we switched from T-Mobile to Sprint. Even though T-Mobile was not the greatest, Sprints coverage seems to be worse. However, I do love my HTC Mogul.. hehe

We will most likely switch to Verizon when our contract runs out in the fall. I just hope I can get a decent smart phone there.

My phones battery lasts 2-3 weeks since i dont call a lot, more modern models should have even longer spans.

The secret to long battery life is to not make or take any calls. In fact if you leave it switched off, your battery will last much longer that way.:D
