Newbiest of Newbie Questions
This is so silly I hesitate to ask, but after looking everywhere I guess I have to ask this.
How do I end a mission? I'm currently doing the first of the Naval Academy tutorials - I've completed the first one - all Primary Objectives complete and I'm proceeding at high speed toward the German beach. Only option I'm seeing is 'Abandon Mission'. How do I end this and get my renown points? Also I read in GWX3 that manual docking gains you no benefit. Therefore there must be a command to allow automatic docking - what would it be? Thanks for any info. |
press the escape key on your keyboard and select the "end mission" option
in a campaign you may do this same process as well however ... at 100% realism you can only use this option when located in a friendly port. at less than 100% realism you can use the "escape - end mission" option anywhere even in the middle of the sea and it will transport you back to port |

Thanks - that is very helpful.
I suspect a part of the problem, is I was doing a Training Mission not an Exam Mission. |
Thanks FIREWALL.
Where have you guys been hiding this GREAT GAME? I just discovered it this week and am continually astonished at how good it is and I'm still in the Academy. Of course, a huge part of the 'goodness' comes from the thousands of hours of work put into the mods. Seems some of the very best games I know of are the result of volunteers massively improving the retail product. Only problem, other than getting sunk :), that I see is getting seasick watching the boat ride the waves. |
