Question about the ruler in the Nav. map
When using the distance ruler in the Nav map, I just wanted to confirm that as soon as the number changes to say "1.0," that it is exactly 1000m. After that you can drag the ruler a little ways farther before it changes (to say 1.1). I seem to remember reading somewhere a while ago that said the actual 1000m mark is in the middle of the area that says 1.0, not at the very beginning of the area that says "1.0."
So which is it? |
I remember reading the same thing. When the number changes to 1.0, it is actually 950m or so.
I read it here (about 1/3 the way down): http://www.paulwasserman.net/SHIII/ :) |

And Yes, I am trying to confuse you.:salute: BP |
Yup, seems like the actual length is rounded to the nearest decimal. And not a truncated decimal. Seems perfectly reasonable to me. Nothing wrong with it. Compare it with the 50m grid in the deepest zoomlevel.
