[REL] miner1436's Pre-conversion Mogami
 
This is the Mogami pre-conversion heavy cruiser made by miner1436. He couldn't finish it so I've done the finishing touches;)

The Mogami class cruiser were a class of four Japanese heavy cruisers. Of those four Mogami was converted into an aircraft cruiser in late 1942-early 1943. Her three sister ships remained unmodified.
The post-conversion Mogami is the one appearing in game.
This mod adds the unmodified cruisers to the game, which are:
- Mogami (pre-conversion)
- Suzuya
- Kumano
- Mikuma

All credits go to miner1436 for making this great model. All I've done is adding the AO-maps and editing the cfg files.

Due to mod compatibility issues you'll have to manually add some text to Names.cfg. From the readme:

CAMogami2=Mogami Heavy Cruiser (Post Conversion)
DOWNLOAD LOCATION:

This mod was tested on SH4v1.5 + RFB + RSRDC but should work with other mod combinations.

Many thanks Darkfish... however I must ask - is this a stand alone playable ship? Or does it just modify the Japanese naval ships we see in the game?

the Mogami isn't playable. This mod just adds the pre-conversion Mogami to the ships you can run into.

Now it's the wait to make it playable...God I'm missing out in SH4, been playing SF2-V-E-later I and WOV-E-I.

looks good but why are we changing the config to 'post conversion' if the model is 'pre conversion' ??? I'll give it a try anyway cos I like how it looks

as far as I'm concerned you can but miner1436 has done almost all the work on the mogami so he's the one who has the say on this.

CAMogami2 is the post-conversion mogami, the pre-conversion is called CAMogami. So you're changing the name of the converted mogami, the name of the unmodified one stays the same.
